ARTIST MENTORSHIP
Ongoing support for artists seeking clarity, confidence, and a sustainable creative life.
Making art over time can feel lonely. Many artists don’t need more instruction, but rather companionship, discernment, and encouragement — someone to help them listen more closely to their work and make space for it within the real conditions of their life.
My hope is to create a partnership that supports your creative practice with intention and care. Together, we focus on both what you are making and how you are living alongside your art.
This is not a productivity program or a rigid curriculum. It is a relational, personalized space that we design together, to meet you where you are.
COMBINING MENTORSHIPS AND LESSONS
It's an option to pair mentorship with private lessons (tailored to your specific goals) for more technical support. We can put together a package of mentor sessions and private lessons, if that's your preference. Email me at: sugarcitylynne@gmail.com for a conversation.WHO THIS IS FOR :
Artist Mentorship may be a good fit if:You're looking for ongoing support rather than a one-time critiqueYou want help clarifying artistic direction or next stepsYou're returning to art after a pause or transitionYou'd benefit from a bit of gentle accountabilityYou're navigating perfectionism, comparison, or self-doubtYou want your art practice to feel more integrated with the rest of your life
This is especially well-suited for artists who value reflection, slowness, and depth alongside skill and discipline.
WHAT MENTORING CAN INCLUDE
Each mentorship relationship is tailored, but may include:Collaborative goal-setting rooted in your values and season of lifeGentle structure and optional assignments or promptsThoughtful critique, if desiredSupport navigating doubt, comparison, creative blocks, or transitionsSpace to reflect on meaning, identity, and creative rhythmCompanionship on the path of living a more artful, attentive life
My hope is for our conversations to move fluidly between the practical and the personal—between the painting itself, and the deeper questions that surround it.
