The process of putting a brush to surface slows time down for me so I notice subtleties - texture on a petal, a swipe of ripening pigment on a pear, light filtering through a child's skirt - in ways I otherwise entirely miss. Painting is my way of paying attention to and processing the beauty and complexity of the world (and people) around me, through color, brushstroke, and texture.

Daily Painting Project: I’m currently raising money for Doctors without Borders, by selling a painting daily on instagram (I post at 12pm pst). I donate $200 for every $1000 in daily painting sales - last year we together raised thousands of dollars for this amazing organization. Thank you so much for your support in this!
